Club Business
Our Feb. 11th meeting had a few surprises for the nine of us in attendance. Jeff & Dawn Selker stopped in for a brief appearance on their trip to S. Fla from Ocala, always good to see them. Robert worked his magical skills to have Rex attend virtually from California, great to see Rex and get a bit of new Mustang news. Robert got a call from Rex in the parking lot of Char-Hut wanting to attend the meeting and lo and behold the magic part under pressure was pulled off, a Sorcerer’s Apprentice moment. Thanks Robert ! Hopefully this will be a regular feature of our meetings.
Show and Tell – IMAGES OPEN IN NEW TAB
Ed began the show & tell with his ‘32 Ford roadster which is a combination of Amt & Revell ‘32 kits, a ‘90 street rod with fat tires and a TPI injected flattie with an automatic, the build earned Ed an Award at the ‘99 NNL East.
Donny stunned the group with a beautiful Revell Volkswagen camper van, the model was very realistic with period correct paint, down to the jalousie windows. Donnie overcame some manufacturing issues to present a beautiful model, it’s going to be hard to top this one!
Brad showed off a AMT ‘90’s ‘70 1/2 Camaro in white with dark red graphics that was started in 2016. It featured a lot of detailing to the engine. Included was his build book. Nice work Brad.
Robert kept us updated on his WIP Corvette build that is now painted & weathered. He also showed off the only chromed part on the build, the blower painted with the Revell of Germany chrome rattle can paint. That paint is the new love in Robert’s life…….mine too.
Jeff brought in a Duster (wip) where he is etching the panel lines of the body and opening the grills for a more realistic model. Very nice work.

It is imperative that we support Char-Hut by purchasing some food while we are there having our meeting, we will be welcome there if we do this.
