Club Business

We had nine attendees at the September 10 meeting. There was a continuing lively discussion about model shows, the judged shows, peoples choice shows, better ways to categorize vehicle entries and judges criteria when deciding on winning and losing entries. Should more awards be given out? This subject will probably be continued.

Show and Tell – IMAGES OPEN IN NEW TAB

Donny brought the new Revell Mustang featuring a red paint job, he said the kit had good and bad points to it. He persevered in making it a pleasing model.

Ed showed his daughter’s 90’s build of the Revell concept Vett III, an out of the box build featuring what we called “Tic Tac” paint. The model made the SAE contest annual that year.

Danny continues with his Revell BMW WIP, featuring cloth in the interior side panels and brake lines. It will be nice when completed. He also brought an Infini Easy Cutting board that allows you to precisely cut straight lines in tape or vinyl. A very useful tool.

Kervin had the Revell Acura finished, ready to give to his son, nicely finished in hobby paint.

Brad displayed an Aoshima 1/12 scale Honda Monkey mini bike, dechromed and finely detailed with many personalized modifications to the tiny bike. Nice work!

Robert’s WIP, the topless, AMT, newly released Bronco is sliding down the slippery slop of modification meyhem which will make it unique when done. The star of the evening was a superbly finished ’30’s era red Italian Savoya fantasy plane from the animated movie Porco Rosso. It’s a beautiful replica and was made for Robert’s wife.
