Club Business
We had 8 members at our April 8th meeting where Donnie was presented with a trophy as the winner of the virtual voting on the Corvette Build, CONGRATULATIONS, job well done. In other voting, the next group build will be Quarter Mile Legends, pretty self explanatory class. Due in “October” (It’s actually due on September 23rd, our Secretary is stalling for time!) The theme class for the upcoming Flight 19 show is Apocolyptic builds. It has Robert & Brad’s full attention. Jeff is offering a large scale model from the Ed Hunt Estate to the club for a group build like Rex’s G.T. 40, stay tuned. Thanks in advance to Jeff. Donnie found an unusual source for some modeling needs: Lucky Nail Supply on Sterling Rd. & Davie Rd. Extension, check it out with an open mind, files, sanding sticks, thinners, chrome powders…
Show and Tell – IMAGES OPEN IN NEW TAB
Donnie had the MPC Country Charger kit in a plum color that didn’t spare him with all it’s short comings as a kit but Donnie persevered to make a presentable model. His second car is the AMT STP Indy Car in pink that went together well, nice job on both Donnie.
Robert had an encore showing of his weathered Corvette Station Wagon from the group build, now in a vignette, featuring a weathered base and two figures, one being a dog. Nice!
Jeff, visiting, had a WIP on the table, a Tamiya Porsche/Revell Van kitbash combination.
Kervin is building a Tribute build for our departed friend Richie, a 3D printed ’70 Caddy, it’s an impressive printing, a complete kit, should be fantastic upon completion. What would Richie don?
