Club Business

Our first meeting of the New Year, January 13th, had eight of us attending, it was over a two hundred percent increase in attendance from the last meeting of 2025. It’s a New Year to start new modeling projects and finish up some of those stalled ones while learning new techniques. Robert posted a composite video of all our meetings in 2025, if you haven’t seen it, it’s worth a look on the club site. Thank’s Robert, it looks great. The Caprice/Impala builds were photographed and will be voted on the club site in the near future. On a somber note, long time member Arnold “Lilly Joy” Duhrkopp has passed. A MOPAR fan and prolific builder of interesting, well build models. A loss to all and will be missed.

Tommy finished his version of the Ghostbuster’s Hearse. It is a very nicely thought out build. It was his first attempt at weathering and it came out great, lots to see in this build.

Brad displayed a Revell conventional Peterbilt over the road truck. An exceptional build in stunning Tamiya Red, a super clean build that will be towing an Unlimited Hydro (boat), can’t wait to see it completed. Brad may have to rent a mini warehouse to store it.

George had two MOPAR bodies that he used to try various rusting techniques out on, they did have that rusty appearance. He used three shades of acrylic paint to achieve the results.

We meet the second and fourth Tuesday at Char-Hut 9000 State Road 84 Davie, Fla. 33324 954 – 474 – 9312

It is imperative that we support Char-Hut by purchasing some food while we are there having our meeting, we will be welcome there if we do this.
